It was a typical day for Mother Theresa. For over twenty years, she had taught wealthy children in India. Every day, she ignored the suffering poor in the slums nearby. God had placed within her a strong gift of mercy, but she hadn’t discovered it yet. Walking home one night, she heard a woman cry out for help. She turned, and discovered a woman in severe physical suffering, near the point of death. Mother Theresa picked her up and carried her to a hospital, but the hospital refused to treat a poor woman. Frantically, Mother Theresa took her to another hospital, where the same event unfolded. In the absence of medical treatment, Mother Theresa took the woman home. Later that night, the woman died in her arms. In that moment, Mother Theresa decided not to allow this to happen to another person within her sphere of influence. She decided to give her life to ease the pain of suffering people and to fight for them to have the love, dignity, and value God placed upon their lives.
After her gift of mercy awoke, Mother Theresa became such a strong advocate for the poor that she became a household name around the world. Everybody is born with slumbering destiny powers. When God made you in His image, He put something intricate, something wonderful inside of you; He gave you a gift to benefit the world around you. No one else on the planet can do what you can do, the way you can do it. You are here to contribute something!
